JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the administration and coordination of procurement activities for the company including cost management, budgeting, and contract administration. Ensures procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
i) Seek vendors that offer a combination of quality materials and services at an acceptable price level. This is to be accomplished by making inquiries that are entirely detailed and specific.
ii) Inquiries seeking quotation will be documented in an open file arranged so that a system of follow-up to expedite can be accomplished.
iii) Continually strive to increase understanding of material and processes associated with the product or parts assigned for purchased.
iv) Continually monitor and evaluate assigned vendor performance data of price, quality, on time delivery and service.
v) Administrate, coordinate and cooperatively work with other departments to resolve all issues relevant to the vendor or parts assigned.
vi) Analyze and strive to maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing and availability relative to the product assigned.
vii) To ensure goods received in order. Monitor and follow up on goods shortage with end users and vendors.
viii) Communicate appropriately to other managers in the event of any delay, change, or other concern that impact the orders and vendor
ix) Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
i) Minimum Bachelor Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Purchasing, Material Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Studies/ Administration/Management, Commerce, or equivalent.
ii) Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
iii) Proficient in writing and speaking in English and Bahasa Melayu. Competence in vernacular languages such as Chinese and Tamil would be an added advantage.
iv) Possesses good research, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
v) Analytical with fine attention to detail.
vi) Experience in procurement for construction projects or facility management will be an added advantage.
