JOB SUMMARY

Assist Senior Mechanical Technician for the day-to-day operations. Operates, maintains, and repairs all aspects of the mall’s ACMV systems, rain/storm water pumping system, domestic water and sanitary plumbing pumping system, generators and boilers, fire protection system and others mechanical services. General fitting and welding of all associated mechanical equipment.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Attends to repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.

• Carries out meter readings to maintain records for utility costs throughout the building, including those of tenants.

• Performs general and emergency repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment within an acceptable timeframe.

• Conducts regular and documented inspections of plant and equipment as per the checklist and statutory requirements.

• Ensures Fire and Engineering safety features operate optimally, and familiarizes self with emergency procedures.

• Monitors energy and water management systems to minimize wastage and costs using utility readings as a reference point.

• Liaises with and supervises Property Maintenance Electrical Contractors on site.

• Ensures that all workshop tools and equipment are well stocked and maintained.

• Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, SPM and recognised trade qualification.

• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Melayu. Competence in vernacular languages such as Chinese and Tamil would be an added advantage.

• Possesses technical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and knowledge in relevant legislation (building codes, fire safety, and country standards).

• Sound information system knowledge.

• Fine attention to detail and quality.

• Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
