ISO Standards Development and Implementation:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) standards within the organization.
Ensure all safety and environmental management systems meet or exceed ISO standards and integrate these practices across all operations.
Workplace Safety Inspections:
Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential safety hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and internal policies.
Coordinate with departments to address identified risks and provide recommendations for improvements.
Crisis Response & Emergency Management:
Develop and maintain crisis management and emergency response plans.
Lead and coordinate the organization’s response during emergencies, including training employees on emergency procedures and conducting drills.
Risk Management:
Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses to proactively address and mitigate potential safety risks.
Collaborate with departments to identify, evaluate, and implement risk reduction strategies.
Safety Program Development, TNA and Leadership:
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs that promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
Provide safety training, resources, and guidance to employees to ensure they are aware of and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular training needs analysis for both Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSH-C) members and other employees to identify knowledge gaps and safety training requirements.
Develop and deliver tailored safety training programs based on the needs analysis to enhance safety awareness and compliance across the organization.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure that the company complies with all safety, security, and environmental laws.
Maintain records of compliance audits, safety inspections, and incident reports.
Security Management:
Oversee physical security measures and systems to protect company property and personnel.
Evaluate and recommend security technology solutions to enhance workplace safety and security.
Be a Part of the Safety & Health Committee:
Actively participate in the Safety and Health Committee, contributing to discussions on workplace safety initiatives, policy updates, and safety culture improvements.
Assist in developing and reviewing safety policies, programs, and procedures in collaboration with the committee.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, safety training, incidents, and corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports on safety and security performance to senior management.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and emergency management protocols.
Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and their application in a corporate environment.
Ability to conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and implement corrective actions.
Proficiency in security management systems and modern safety technology.
