Job Role
To lead and manage end-to-end Human Resources and Office Management functions for the Southern Region, ensuring strong people governance, operational excellence, and alignment with Sunway Malls’ people strategy.
This role partners Southern Region leadership team to build a future-ready workforce while ensuring consistent HR standards, compliance, and employee experience across all assigned malls.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the regional HR strategic partner, aligning people strategies with business and operational priorities.
Develop, review, and ensure compliance with HR governance frameworks, including policies, SOPs, and standards.
Provide workforce insights and people analytics to support management decision-making.
Partner with COE HR on succession planning, talent pipeline development, and internal mobility.
Collaborate with COE HR on L&D strategy, capability roadmaps, and leadership development programmes.
Work with COE HR on market salary benchmarking, reward strategies, and internal equity assessment.
HR Operations & Governance:
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and C&B administration.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies, SOPs, and ISO standards.
Act as final escalation point for complex employee relations cases.
Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner Regional Heads, Mall Managers, and Functional Heads on people matters.
Provide HR advisory during expansion or operational changes.
Office Management Oversight:
Oversee office facilities, administration, vendors, and services.
Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping standards, and cost controls.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop the regional HR team.
Build a strong HR talent pipeline through coaching and development.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with strong hands-on exposure in HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
Good knowledge of HR policies, SOPs, ISO standards, and Malaysian employment laws.
Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
Willing to travel across Southern Region malls when required.
